I had the privilege of spending time this past week at the Yalobusha County Historical Society facility which includes a Research Library. This historical society located in Coffeeville, MS, has managed to sustain, against all odds, an active historical organization. Additionally, dedicated membership has built an extensive library book and research file collection that captures the history of Native American and white settlers who populated this region.
Chris Morgan, shown in this picture with Mary Jo Dyre, has dedicated forty years of research to this project. Kudos to Yalobusha County Historical Society's work and dedication to provide this resource to north Mississippi.
